TOURING PARK CONDITIONS OF BOOKING

Introduction

These Park Conditions are in place for the good management of Achindarroch Touring Park and the benefit of all who use it. They form part of the contract between us for your holiday. They should be read alongside your booking Terms and Conditions.

The Park Rules do not affect anything to which you are entitled under the booking Terms and Conditions.

The expression ‘you’/‘your’ refers to all members of your party.

The expression ‘us’ refers to the owners.

You must make sure that everyone in your party and visitors to the park are aware of and understand these Park Conditions.

You are reminded that we may cancel your holiday if you are in serious breach of your obligations, including these Park Conditions.

Arrivals

  • Please book at least one day in advance.
  • Arrivals will only be accepted after 1pm for Tourers and 4pm for Pods, and no later than 7pm unless otherwise agreed. This must be agreed prior to booking.
  • Any changes to the booking must be agreed at least 1 day prior to arrival. Failure to do so may result in the change not being permitted.
Departures
  • You must vacate the site no later than 11am for Tourers, on the day of departure, and 10am for Pods.

Safety  

  • You must use the park safely and should not cause danger to others.
  • You must obey all health and safety notices displayed on the park and act on the reasonable instructions of park staff in all matters of health and safety.

 Security 

  • You are solely responsible for securing your Caravan, tent or other accommodation.

 Permitted number of occupiers              

  • Your accommodation/pitch may only be used by the people agreed at the time of booking.Visitors are only permitted if agreed by us.

  Day Visitors

  • It is your responsibility to ensure that your visitors and all occupiers of your Caravan, tent or other accommodation adhere to the Park Conditions.

  If your visitors require to use the Toilet facilities (not showers) while on the park, please ask first.

  • Your visitors must report to reception on arrival and identify themselves to us.
  • If driving, they must only park in the car park and not become an inconvenience to us or other park guests.
  • Failure comply with these requirements may result in the visitors being asked to leave and not return.

Ejection on grounds of behaviour 

  • In the event of persistent or serious misconduct by you, a member of your family or visitors, you will be asked to leave at the earliest opportunity. No refund will be given.

 Your pitch

  • You are responsible for keeping the area around the Caravan, tent or other accommodation clean and tidy.
  • Your pitch is the area identified to you on arrival and you must not encroach into the adjacent pitch without express permission from us.

Electricity

  • We currently do not charge for electricity and if you choose to use it, we only allow one connection at the Hook-up allocated to your pitch, ie, no splitters.

Utilities installations 

  • If you experience any problem with the park’s electrical or water system, you should contact us. You must not attempt to work on any part of the park’s electrical or water system yourself; this includes any installations on the pitch.

 Drainage system 

  • You must not introduce any foreign items into the drainage system including cleaning cloths, wet wipes, babies’ nappies, sanitary towels, condoms, cooking fat, engine oil, grease or paint.
  • There are 2 Grey water disposal points and a Motorhome grey water drop point on the park. These will be pointed out to you on arrival if applicable.  Please do not drop grey water on to your pitch.
  • An Elsan point (toilet chemical disposal) will be shown to you on arrival, if applicable, for emptying your black water.

 Facilities

  • The opening and closing times of our facilities are provided on arrival and indicated on relevant signage on the doors. However, the times of opening may be subject to change depending on unforeseen circumstances. We will do our best to advise you of any changes throughout your stay.
  • You are to leave the facilities in a clean and tidy condition.
  • Please ensure the doors to the facilities are closed at all times. This prevents unauthorised persons from using them.

Trees and shrubs 

  • You must not damage any trees, hedges or any other plants at the park. If you find any tree or hedge a nuisance or unsatisfactory you should take the matter up with us; do not deal with it yourself.
  • You, any member of your family or visitors must not climb any tree.
  • You must not tie anything to any tree or shrub.

Smoking

  • It is illegal to smoke or use e-cigarettes inside enclosed public buildings (shower block, campers Kitchen or reception).
  • If you are found to be smoking in public buildings, you may be charged a £10 cleaning fee. This would be a serious breach of your contract with us which may lead to you being required to leave the park.

 Washing

  • You may only use washing lines of the rotary type or the windowsill type.
  • Washing may be hung on the airer provided at the drying area, or on caravan airers. Please do not hang washing on lines between the trees, on the guy ropes of tents, or anything similar.

 Refuse 

  • Please put all litter and cigarette ends in the appropriate bins provided. Do not put cigarettes in the provided bins in the Shower block.
  • Do not leave rubbish bags outside of your unit.
  • Please respect the recycling policy and do not place recyclable waste in the general waste bins or visa versa.
  • No bulky waste items (camp beds, cardboard boxes, camping chairs etc) are to be left at the bin area. Please take them home with you or take them to the recycling centre in Fort William or Oban.

Vehicles, driving and parking

 Vehicles

  • You must insure all vehicles you use on the park as for use on the public road.
  • You must insure all accessories and items towed by vehicles (such as caravans and trailers) as for use on the public road.
  • You must not carry out the following works or repairs on the park:
    • major vehicle repairs such as dismantling of part(s) of the engine
    • works which involve the removal of oil or other fuels.
  • A recognised breakdown service may attend in the event of a breakdown.
  • You must not wash vehicles on the park.

Driving

We permit cars onto the park for the purposes of access to your pitch only. Accordingly, save to the extent that you may need to do so because of a disability, you must not drive cars round the park for other purposes such as visiting other locations eg. the shower block, on the park.

  • Driving on the park is restricted to the park roads.
  • You must drive all vehicles on the park carefully and within the displayed speed limit.
  • Driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs is not permitted on the park.
  • The use of handheld equipment while driving is not permitted on the park.
  • You must hold the appropriate driving licence to drive any vehicle on the park.
  • You are not permitted to give anyone driving lessons at the park and we do not permit learner drivers to drive on the park.
  • There is a speed limit on all park roads of 5mph, which must be adhered to.
  • We allow a maximum of 1 car to be parked alongside each Tent or Caravan pitch. We do not allow vans (VW size and above) to be parked on the grass.
  • Electric cars cannot be charged at the park by any means, including the use of an electricity supply or hook-up.

Parking

  • You must not park anywhere except in the designated car park (space dependent) or on your pitch, without our permission.
  • You must not park on the grass (unless it is your pitch or asked by us to do so) or roadsides.
  • You must park, and move off, with great care for pedestrians and particularly for children.

Behaviour

  • You should respect the privacy of other users of the park and keep noise to a minimum between the hours of 10pm and 8am.
  • You must not use a drone, powered model aircraft or any other powered flying object on the park without our permission. These must also comply with current UK Legislation.
  • You must not use any Chinese lanterns, fireworks or similar.
  • You may not ride bicycles, scooters or similar so as to cause a nuisance or undue noise.
  • You must not use the park’s water supply to fill paddling pools.
  • If you require to wash bicycles, dogs, wet suits or similar at the water points, please ask first, as it may not always be possible.

Pets

  • Dogs, cats and other pets are permitted.
  • You must tell us before you visit the park if you plan to bring any pet or animal and answer any reasonable question about them and their suitability for our park environment. If we are not satisfied that the pet or animal is suitable for our park environment, we may tell you that you cannot bring them. This is because we cannot allow the safety of others to be put at risk.
  • Any pet or animal you bring must be supervised by and under the control of you, or of a responsible adult in your party when outside of your unit.
  • Please do not walk you pet around or between other pitches. Only walk it along the roads or on any grassed areas that are not pitches.  This is to minimise disturbing other guests and/or their pets.  All dogs must be on a short lead while on the Park and prevent them from toileting on the plants and bushes.
  • If you do not supervise and control any pet or animal, we are likely to ask you to remove it from the park straight away. Depending on the circumstances, you may not be allowed to bring it back, or may only be allowed to do so with our permission, which we would not withhold once our reasonable concerns have been addressed. This is because we cannot allow the safety of others to be put at risk.
  • If you see another pet or animal anywhere on the park which does not appear to be supervised by and under the control of a responsible adult, or whose behaviour gives a cause for concern, please tell us straight away.
  • You must clean up after your animal immediately if it defecates on the park. Ideally, try to ensure this is done off the park.
  • Dogs are not allowed to be tied up outside of the Shower block. This is to allow guests that are scared of dogs, access without fear.
  • Nothing in these Park Conditions prevents you or any member of your party from bringing an assistance dog to the park (or from using the dog exactly as you would at home), if this is required to support a disability. Please ensure that you have an Assistance Dogs UK or any successor body issued Identification Book or other appropriate evidence.

Recreation

  • Ball games will only be permitted if there is space and it does not affect other guests. Please ask us first.

 Children

  • Children must be supervised whilst on the park and are the responsibility of their parent or guardian during their stay.
  • Children under the age of 15 should not be left unsupervised in the accommodation or on the park.

Fire precautions

  • Please be aware that at various times of the year, we are in a Red Risk Zone for wild fires.
  • You must ensure that all occupants of your Caravan, tent or other accommodation are familiar with the location of the Fire Points and the contents of the Fire Notices displayed at each location throughout the park.
  • No open fires are permitted.
  • BBQ’s may only be used if they are powered by gas

Lost property 

  • For any lost property, please contact the Park Reception as soon as possible as any lost property will be disposed of after one month.

Photography 

  • We regularly take photographs and videos (some aerial) for promotional purposes. We will endeavour to ensure that you are not identified when the media is being taken, however you may inadvertently become part of the shot.  Should you not wish to appear in any material, please let us know.
  • Where others may reasonably expect privacy, you must obtain their agreement before taking a photograph in which they are identifiable.

Wi-fi

 Wi-fi is available throughout the park and is free of charge.
