Terms & Conditions - Achindarroch Touring Park Fort William

TOURING PARK TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF BOOKING

Please book at least a day in advance.

ARRIVALS

Touring pitches will be available between 13.00 and 19:00 the day of arrival and we ask that you vacate the site by 11.00am on the day of departure. If you have booked a Pod, the arrival time is between 16:00 and 19:00, and you must vacate the site by 10:00 on the day of departure. Arrivals will not be accepted after 19.00. If, due to unforeseen circumstances, you will arrive after 19.00, e.g. you are delayed due to traffic or a breakdown, please let us know as soon as possible, but we must be able to verify this. Ideally, please check in first and then go for something to eat or sight-seeing.

During the winter months (November – March), arrivals must be before 16:00 due to lighting conditions. The Pod timings remain the same.

We do not normally accept groups. Unless otherwise agreed, a maximum of 2 units per booking, with a maximum of 4 adults together, will be accepted. Please call for further advice.

Telephone bookings can be made at any time during normal office hours (09.00 – 17.00). If we don’t answer the phone, please leave a message on the answer machine, stating your name, contact details and what you require. The message should be clear, and will be dealt with as soon as is possible. If we don’t get back to you, it will be because we have not understood the number.

A non-refundable deposit equivalent to one nights stay (including extras) will be taken at the time of booking. The remaining fees will be taken 7 days prior to your arrival. A Booking confirmation email will be sent, along with the current Park Rules, for your accepted booking(s). If no confirmation email has been received within 24hrs of you booking, please contact us again. Please check your junk/spam folders prior to contacting us.

All bookings are only valid once the Terms and Conditions have been agreed (at the time of booking) and a confirmation email has been sent.

It is your responsibility to know when you are coming.

Changes to the booking must be agreed at least one day prior to arrival. Any changes not agreed prior to arrival may result in the changes not being permitted or the booking being cancelled and no refund or credit note given.

The management reserve the right to refuse any booking which they consider unacceptable.

TENTS

Your booking is limited to one tent. If you require more than one tent, please call prior to booking. Tents will only be accepted during the months of April through to September, with a maximum size of 7m x 3m (including extensions). This is to allow the grass to recover for the following season. Your car can be parked on the pitch next to your tent. VW size vans and above are not accepted on Tent pitches. If your only mode of transport is a van, please call prior to booking to check for space.

MOTORHOME and CAMPERVAN AWNINGS

Awnings on Motorhome and large Campervan (more than 6m) are not accepted. Awnings on Small Campervans (less than 6m) are accepted. Please see the Tariff page for sizes and pricing.

ROOF TENTS

Roof Tents are limited to cars only. If your Roof tent is on a Van (VW size), please call prior to booking.

GROUPS

If you are a group, but book individually and it is apparent you are a group, then you may be asked to leave.

BACKPACKERS/CYCLISTS/MOTORCYCLISTS

A maximum of 2 Adult Backpackers, Cyclists or Motorcyclists will be accepted per booking. This includes if you book separately.

EXTRA VEHICLES

Your Pitch Fee is based on one vehicle arriving. If you require a second vehicle (car), please call prior to booking to confirm if we can accommodate it. Fees apply (See Tariff page).

BBQ’s

Only gas powered BBQ’s are permitted unfortunately, and open fires are not currently permitted.

CANCELLATIONS

If you cancel within 7 days prior to arrival, or you don’t turn up, no refunds will be given. If your reason is outwith your control and verifiable (vehicle breakdown, accident, ferry cancellation etc.), a credit note may be given. Work and weather reasons are not accepted. We strongly advise that if there is any chance you may cancel within the stated time frames, that you take out any relevant holiday/travel insurance.

PLEASE NOTE

We no longer accept bookings that will arrive in vehicles hired from Indie Campers. If your hire is from them, please do not book, as you will be turned away on arrival. Sorry for inconvenience.

We welcome well behaved dogs onto our site, but they must be kept on a short lead (where applicable) and under control at all times.

There is no facility to charge electric vehicles on site. The nearest is at the Ballahulish Hotel.

All visitors are requested to read, or re-read, through the “Park Rules” on arrival and follow them during their stay.

To enable us to maintain our high standards of cleanliness, the shower block (including the Camper’s Kitchen) will be closed between 11:00 and 12:30 daily. Sorry for any inconvenience.

  We were looking to spend Xmas in the Glencoe/Fort William area and this was one of the few sites open. From the time we booked earlier in the year, a couple of phone calls inbetween, through to arrival, stay & departure, everything was top notch. Dicky & Anne run a tight ship with spotless facilities. They have a list of rules that are necessary for the location and shouldn't be a problem for most respectful campers. The location is beautiful, although we cut our stay short due to the weather and chose to go touring instead. Dicky advised us about traffic & roads in the area and even phoned us when there had been an accident that would've affected our route back to site! That's what I call Customer Care :-) The icing on the cake was a totally unexpected & thoughtful personalised Xmas gift that will long travel with us! If you're looking for somewhere to stay in this area, then pop Achindarroch at the top of your list!

  Lovely, quiet, peaceful campsite. Owners Anne & Dickie put a lot of love and care into their site, everything is very neat and tidy and well maintained, and if you have a problem they are happy to help. Showers are clean with lots of hot water. There is also a washer & dryer, and fridge & freezer for campers. Situated right on the Oban-Fort William cycleway, there are also plenty of walks from the campsite up into Glen Duror or along the track. We had a great (extended) stay here, and thank you to Anne & Dickie for keeping us sane while our house purchase went through!

  Awesome little family run campsite with a great location, quiet spotlessly clean and well situated for visiting some great places around Lochaber. Anne and Dickie go out their way to look after guests but they do require Pre-Bookings... Will be back again soon.
